US First Lady Jill Biden Tests Positive for Covid-19
Almost a week ago, after defeating Covid, president Joe Biden was released from isolation and now his wife Jill Biden is also infected with Covid 19. The First Lady went on a vacation to South Carolina with the president who tested positive for Covid on 21 July.
Last Wednesday, the president and First Lady went to South Carolina on a vacation which was estimated to be at least a week-long vacation. Later, president’s son Hunter Biden, daughter-in-law Melissa Cohen and grandson Beau joined them.
She was suffering from various cold-like symptoms from Monday (August 15) evening.
But on a rapid antigen taste, her Covid report was negative. On Tuesday (August 16), it was confirmed that the First Lady was infected with the coronavirus through a PCR test.
But she is not experiencing severe symptoms, she has mild syndromes. Doctors prescribed her a course of Pfizer Inc.’s Paxlovid antiviral drugs which was also prescribed for president Joe Biden when he was affected by Covid.
Though 71 years old First Lady Jill Biden is double-vaccinated and she was given two booster doses, she is now suffering from Covid. As President Joe Biden has been in close contact with the First Lady, he was also tested for Covid. But his report was negative.
First Lady Jill Biden is in home isolation in a private home in South Carolina. She will again come to the White House after complete recovery. But she has to be in self-isolation for at least five days.
