In this article, I will share 3 samples of paragraph writing on Global Warming.
Sample 1: Write a paragraph on Global Warming in 100 words.
Global Warming
Global warming is the rise in the Earth’s average temperature. It is caused by the increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide levels, resulting in an increase in temperature. Massive deforestation actions by men have caused global warming. Plants use carbon dioxide as a by-product for their food preparation and release of oxygen. If there are enough plants, then extra carbon dioxide will be absorbed by them from the atmosphere and to a certain extent reduce the rate of global warming. Planting additional trees can lower atmospheric carbon dioxide levels and lead to a reduction in global warming.
Sample 2: Write a paragraph on Global Warming in 150 words.
Global Warming, A Serious Threat
Global warming is the harmful affect we face today on our environment. Rapid industrialisation, population expansion and pollution cause global warming to increase. Global warming refers to the increase in the average temperature of the earth’s surface during the last century. One of the dangers of global warming is that it disrupts the planet’s entire ecology. This causes flooding, hunger, cyclones, and other problems. There are several reasons and consequences to this warming, which represents a threat to the survival of life on Earth. Many natural events are already occurring across the world, affecting all living creatures as a result of global warming.
Industrialization, urbanisation, deforestation, and complex human activities are the most visible drivers of global warming. These human activities have resulted in a rise in greenhouse gas emissions such as CO2, nitrous oxide, methane, and others.
Sample 4: Write a paragraph on Global Warming in 300 words.
Global Warming, A Threat to Life
Global warming is the growth of the earth’s average temperature and seas, which is one of today’s greatest challenges. The average surface temperature of the planet has risen from the beginning of the 20th century to around 0.8 °C, a significant rise since 1980. The current trend suggests that by the end of the 21st century the world average surface temperature might increase from 2°C to 6°C. Earth has undergone climate change without human aid in the past, but climate warming is considerably faster than previous warming events.
Hotter earth can affect the patterns of rainfall, increase in the level of the sea due to glaciers’ melting and have many impacts on plants, wildlife, marine creatures and mankind. The equilibrium of the environment may be disturbed by common floods, lack of rain, heatwaves, storms and tornadoes. This is a matter of grave concern to environmentalists all over the world whose ultimate objective is to prevent dangerous human-induced climate change.
Global warming is caused by a greenhouse effect caused by the build-up of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide. During the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, waste etc, methane and nitrous oxides are emitted into the atmosphere.
The primary sources of this gas are emissions from cars and industry. These gases, which are wrapped around the globe, let the sun’s light but restrict the heat from escaping back into space. The main cause of global warming is this trapped heat in the world’s atmosphere.
Environmental pollution must be avoided at all costs to reduce this situation. Many nations are introducing a range of measures to decrease greenhouse gas emissions to restrict global warming to below 2 °C at an early industrial stage, in line with the United Nations Environment Programme. It is necessary to encourage the planting of trees that absorb carbon dioxide from the air. Alternative energy sources such as solar, wind, etc should also be exploited.
