7 Days of The Week
There are seven days in a week. They are the followings –
- Sunday (The day after Saturday)
- Monday (The day after Sunday)
- Tuesday (The day after Monday)
- Wednesday (The day after Tuesday)
- Thursday (The day after Wednesday)
- Friday (The day after Thursday)
- Saturday. (The day after Saturday)
But always remember to write the first letter of the names of the days of the week in capital letters as the names of the days come from mythological characters. Here are the links of the days with different mythological characters:

What is the first day of the week?
According to the international standard ISO 8601, Monday is the first day of the week. But some countries like – the US, Canada, Japan etc. consider Sunday as the first day of the week and 96% of countries in the world like – India, Australia, China, and Ireland believes that Monday is the first day of the week.
Now you can say that a week starts from Monday and ends on Sunday or starts from Sunday and ends on Saturday. Because every country does not consider the same day as the starting day of a week. For this reason, the end of the week is also different in various countries.

Is Sunday the first or last day of the week?
According to the international standard ISO 8601, Sunday is the last day of the week. But you can’t say that it is considered everywhere as the last day of the week. A very few countries like – the US, Canada, Brazil, and Colombia classify Sunday as the first day of the week. But most countries treat Sunday as the last day of the week.
